Day1 - Mendip

Day 1 [Thursday]  Mendip Outdoor Pursuits.

Day 1 of Mendip was EPIC!!!!!!!
We all left BGS feeling excited and slightly nervous about what the day might bring.When we got there it was very noisy because Mendip was right next to a motorway.
First we were put into 9 groups and sent off to do different things. My group started by doing team games. This was fun and got us all working together as a team. My favourite was the spider's web game because you needed to get through the holes in the net without touching the rope.

Next it was time for lunch.  Yum yum!
After lunch we went back into our groups and we did raft building. Our challenge was to build a raft using rope, barrels and long wooden poles. It was important that we worked together as a team to make sure that we communicated with each other. We did not want our raft to sink!
Luckily, our raft floated perfectly and we had a massive water fight with the other groups.
At the end we all jumped in the water but we were only allowed to be in there for 10 seconds because it was freezing cold!

We were all soaking wet so we had to get changed.
Day 1 was fantastic and I am looking forward to the assault course tomorrow on Day 2.
